Catch up with Newy

So where was I?    Oh yeah...I was gonna tell you what has been going on.  I took my kids down to Valdosta in March.  My older son has been looking at the campus of Valdosta State University.  Man it is beautiful!!!! It was 89 degrees that Saturday we walked the campus.

 After we walked the campus and paid the deposit for his dorm room, we went to the Spring game.

Then he talked to the head coach about doing a walk-on tryout in the fall.  He was injured last season and didn't play so he couldn't get scouted.  Boooooooo...but the coach is giving him a walk-on tryout in August. 

Meanwhile, my younger son was getting ready for the Easter play at church.   He volunteered to do the scenary...which woulda been cool except he can't draw.  So it was up to momma to help him make the backdrops. Which was cool...I had fun doing it.  The play was awesome and the cast was all dressed up at the end. 

I have been working alot as well but you know I enjoy what I do.   Indigo Ink has a performance coming up June 28th.  Literary Latte.  This one will not be on the radio but I will send you more information when it gets closer to the date.   One of my fellow Inkers is presenting a poetic piece at the Congressional Club's First Lady's Luncheon tomorrow in DC.  you go, Cheryl!!!!!

Last week, I had my niece and nephew.  I baked a cake for my niece's birthday. 

So anywho...just trying to get that older one out of high school and maintain my sanity.  I will start blogging more often.  Oh yeah and I am working on my book.  Just had to slide that in there in passing...it takes alot of my creative juices so I put blogging on the back burner....sowee.   No more hate mail ...I am back on the circuit at least twice a week.  That is the least I can do for my faithful readers...you have hung with me through some trying times over the last two years and I love you for it.
