Open Letter to Rush Limbaugh:

I served in the Navy under three Presidents, two Republicans and one Democrat.  I did not agree with all of the policies of any of the three.  However, my job, at the time, was to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. You do remember the Constitution don’t you?  It gives you, an uber-conservative with limited views,  the ability to spout reckless rhetoric under the guise of “Free speech”.   I don’t agree with all the policies laid out by President Obama and didn’t agree with some laid out by former President G.W. Bush, but never once would I utter the most unpatriotic words echoed by you around the world.  I am quite sure that everyone who works for you doesn’t always agree with you, yet they still support you because if you fail, they all fail.  Saying you hope Mr. Obama fails is saying you hope our great nation fails, never to rise again. Is your view so narrow that you can’t see past what you want?   You are a drug addicted under-educated bigot stuck in an old world mentality.  You disguise your fodder as “the view of conservative America” when it is nothing more than poison; because we all know that out of the heart, the mouth speaks.  What are you really upset about, Rush?  Is it that we have a President that really wants to try to get us to the place that our forefathers dreamed of when they wrote:  We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.  In case you don’t realize, the term welfare means a state of well-being for all of us, not just the Limbaughs or the Bushs or even the Obamas.    I was puzzled by your view of failure until I recalled a quote by your mother, “he flunked everything” and then it all made sense: failure is what you know.  After all, you failed at marriage three times, failed at school and you even failed at being a commentator for a sport that you love.   Try loving your country more than yourself; maybe then you can hope that it succeeds beyond measure.
