You know, we all need a little reminding about who is REALLY lookin' out for us. I was listening to The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin and I heard my song the one that reminded me of who's lookin' out for me... And although I have called my Pastors upset, needing counseling, yes they talked me through but I know that Jesus is my homey. Yes, I said homey. My ace-boon-coon; mi compadrie; my road dog. Think of Jesus as your ride-or-die homeboy, that one that got your back when no one else can have your back. That's your homeboy you can tell your problems to and not wonder who He's gonna tell....O you know what I'm talking 'bout. Jesus is my friend and no matter what I do, in spite of my shortcomings, I know that's who is ALWAYS lookin' out for me.
Lookin Out for Me.....Kirk Franklin
Every time I look back
And every time I think back
On all the stuff I've been through
I've prayed through I cried through
And then I tried you and just
When I was about to fall
Your love caught me when your name I called
Jesus you keep on lookin' out for me
Remember when the doctor said
He said he couldn't help you and
Remember when the money was gettin' low
You're hurtin' now your feeling low and just
When you thought the night would never end
The sun came out now you can smile again
Jesus you keep on lookin' out for me
[Chorus]
You keep on lookin' out for me [3x]
In spite of all I've done
Jesus you keep on lookin' out for me
I shouldn't be here today
And when I look back on all my mistakes
If it hadn't been for your grace
I don't know where I'd be where I'd go
Who can love me like you do
And who can hold me when I'm going through
Jesus you keep on lookin' out for me

This really a great post. This is something that I need reminding of
sometime…that Jesus is my ride or die homey and that he is always there for
me even when I think I’m all alone.
Thanks for reminding me of that!
Hey, Nic! No problem. Thanks for stopping by. We always need to remember
that Jesus is approachable. And we don't need a go-betweeen to talk to
Him. *smile*
