The Greatest of these is Love

Valentine's day - and here I am single. I was dating someone but I was not happy.  I even saw him last week. The old me would have kicked it with him another week just to get a Valentine's gift.  That was the childish me.  So I broke it off with him and I'm ok with it. I do have a special Valentine in mind though. There is one who loves me in spite of me.  One who is there when I need him to be.  One who doesn't care when my hair is not quite right, or when my skirt fits just a little tight. Who doesn't care when my eyes are puffy from crying all night, one who's always there to say "It'll be alright". One who loves me in spite of my flaws, who loves me even when I skip a couple of calls. One who doesn't care about what kind of car I drive, but wants to know what drives me inside. One who isn't concerned with the zip code of my house, but wants me to have the very best in a spouse.  One who cared about me even when I didn't love me too much, One who could heal my internal wounds with only a touch. That is the Valentine that I want in my life, the one that brings more love never strife.   I love you, Lord, today and everyday, Thank you for being my Valentine of everyday.

1 Corinthians 13:11 It's like this: When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now. 13 There are three things that will endure – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love.
